This 1970 Dodge Charger 500 is finished in Deep Burnt Orange Metallic over Burnt Orange vinyl upholstery and powered by a replacement 383ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a four-barrel carburetor, a black vinyl roof cover, black 15″ steel wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, concealed headlights, black bumble bee and hood stripes, a center console, a Hurst pistol-grip shifter, and a Kenwood stereo. The body was reportedly repainted and the engine was rebuilt in the early 2000s before the car was acquired by the seller in October 2019.
The body left the factory finished in Deep Burnt Orange Metallic (FK5) and was reportedly repainted during prior ownership in the early 2000s. The car features a black vinyl roof cover along with black bumble bee and hood stripes, and additional equipment includes chrome bumpers, “500” lettering, side mirrors, concealed headlights, and a dual exhaust system with oblong exits.
Black-finished 15″ steel wheels wear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T white-letter tires measuring 245/60 up front and 295/50 out back. Factory equipment includes power-assisted front disc brakes with rear drums along with power steering. A spare tire is stored in the trunk. The replacement wheels and tires were reportedly installed in December 2021.
The cabin features high-back bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Burnt Orange vinyl (K4). Woodgrain trim lines the center console and Hurst pistol-grip shifter, and additional equipment includes a heater, door panel armrests, Charger-embroidered floor mats, three-point seat belts for the front occupants, rear lap belts, and a Kenwood stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges displaying fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 39k miles, approximately 1k of which has been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 383ci V8 was reportedly rebuilt under prior ownership in the early 2000s and is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor. A fluid change was performed in December 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transmission.
